Car rental industry is a globally spread service that meets a fundamental human close, namely , the need to move, to carry from one place to another in a fast and efficient way. Car rental market is in continuous development, with the service experienced a great demand in major cities of the world, where it is known that these cities are visited by a large number of foreigners every year. Basically, whether we are talking about views on business, health, or strictly as tourists, the need of a car for easy and safe transportation remains constant. Maybe you will be surprised, but car rental industry has a history rich enough to be confused with the beginning of mass production of cars. We all know that the first series produced car was the  Ford T model which came from the factory in Detroit. One such car was the first vehicle given by it’s owner  for rent.

In Romania we talk about car rental development only after the return to the democratic regime after 1990, when the world's major multinationals such as Hertz or Avis, and opened the first offices especially inside airports. With time the competition from companies with local capital arrived , resisting the competition of these large  corporantions and reaching  in a few years a fairly advanced stage of development . In terms of the market, we can not say that Romanians are very responsive regarding renting a car , compared to Western Europeans or Americans . Market studies indicate that a large part of the car rental service in Romania is used by foreigners who visit our country for tourism or business. Car rental offer is varied and includes models that can be retained and used for amounts from 10 to 15 euros per day, but may opt for the most demanding limousines with the most sophisticated equipment.

You can tell that in the last 10 years, the mobile phones have killed so many people all over the world because there are many people in the traffic thinking that they are the best drivers in the town and nothing bad can happen to them but it's enough to make one mistake to kill or even injure yourself, the passengers in your car or the other people on the street or on the sideways. Besides that, there are also so many laws in different countries or states and the fees are getting bigger and bigger. At the same time, it's not one of those laws where the police officers are ignoring like wearing the seatbelt even though I consider that's very important as well. There are many police officers on the streets of so many countries "hunting" people that use their phones while driving at the same time. So, using a cell phone while driving is extremely dangerous for several reasons.

One aspect that most people forget to get information for is the gas consumption of the car you are going to rent. If you are going to fill up with gas today at a certain price and tomorrow you will do the same but of course, at a different time and in a different location, you may see a drastical change in the gas station's price which may not make you happy, especially if the car you have rented has a high MPG. The agents at the auto rental company are not so intersted into the MPG of their cars, they are only going to advertise the best performances of each of their cars. If you mind to ask them about the MPG, they might not even know exactly and maybe some of them are even able to lie you about the exact number or they just don't remember it exactly. A good advice is to go to the internet and make a quick research on that certain car with the same engine, the year when it have been made the hp and so on.
